Chances are you have things to haul, tow, or both. It's what trucks are made for. Never has this been truer than for the F-150. From its hydroformed front frame to its beefy suspension, F-150 was built to move you. And everything else.

F-150 gets the job done and then some. Choose from the 4.2L V6 with 202 hp and 260 ft-lbs of torque, or the Ford Triton® V8 available in a 4.6L with 231 hp and 293 ft-lbs of torque. For max power delivery, choose the 5.4L V8 with 300 hp and 365 ft-lbs of torque.

This amazing new option pairs a camera mounted in the tailgate with a video display in the rearview mirror. The system is activated whenever the truck is in reverse. The wide-angle camera provides a bird's-eye view of the trailer ball, and the built-in distance guide on the video display makes it ideal for trailer hook-up or backing up to a loading dock. The system stays on for three seconds after shifting out of reverse, allowing you to confirm the security of your trailer hook-up. It can also be combined with the Reverse Sensing System to provide visual and audible warnings when certain objects are behind your truck.

When rain hits the windshield, infrared rays emitted by the rain sensor are received by a photo diode. The system activates and controls the Intermittent, Low and High speed modes, depending on the intensity of the rain.

F-150 offers optional telescoping trailer tow mirrors with a variety of features from manual to power glass, body colour to chrome. All provide the ability to extend the mirror farther out from the truck to deliver a better angle to see what's going on behind you. They're available on all series.

The available Trailer Tow Package includes a Class IV trailer hitch receiver, seven-pin wiring harness, upgraded radiator, and upgraded auxiliary transmission oil cooler (requires 4.6L or 5.4L Triton® V8); auxiliary transmission oil cooler only with 4.2L V6 Automatic Transmission.

F-150 has best-in-class payload capability* – shouldering a massive maximum 1356 KG/2990-lb load. And there's no getting around it ... a bigger payload can mean fewer trips, saving time and money.

All F-150 trucks have a standard partitionable and stackable cargo box. Keep your tools and other important items organized while you maintain quick and convenient access to them. F-150 trucks come with these cargo box options:

The new MidBox combines 745 L (26.3 cu. ft.) of versatile, secure storage with a 5.5' box. It's accessible from both sides of the vehicle, and is keyed to the driver's door key. Steel construction, heavy-duty latches and beefy locks provide safekeeping of equipment and supplies.

Multiple components add up to an exceptionally complete and versatile Cargo Management System. The system comes standard with corrosion-resistant aluminum and composite construction, two dual-channel side rails and four adjustable cleats.
Cleats are rated at 272 kg (600 lbs) each (two cleats per rail maximum). A front header bar option (not shown) provides additional cleat mounting across the front of the box
Optional load bars lock to the cleats with a single click, and T-channels accept common roof rack accessories for carrying bikes, skis, etc., up to a 45 kg (100 lb) maximum load

F-150's easily accessible tow hooks use the "closed loop" design as opposed to competitors' hooks, which may pull out or break.

The F-150 garners its highly respected stability from a hydroformed front frame and fully boxed frame rails. Hydroform molding provides consistent material thickness, decreased thermal fatigue, and increased strength – all important features for the components that support the engine, transmission, and front suspension. This structural toughness resists bending and twisting, offering best-in-class hauling and towing capabilities, a first-class ride, and the bragging rights to the strongest frame in its class.*

Special body mounts also help isolate the cab from road vibration, while through-rail welded crossmembers reduce frame flex. The crossmembers that form the ladder-type construction of the frame pass through both sides of the fully boxed frame rail and are welded to both the inner and outer edges. The front frame rails themselves are constructed using hydroforming technology, which produces precise frame wall thickness without the inherent stresses and dimensional variations of stamping or welding. That's not tough. That's Ford tough. The result? A quiet interior and a smooth ride.

Finally, the three-piece pickup box is bolted with high-strength titanium to ensure seamless strength throughout.

Your F-150 suspension is built for safety, durability, and capability. The rear shocks are located outside the frame rails to help reduce body lean and to control axle motion on washboard surfaces. The 76-mm (3”) wide rear leaf springs provide enhanced control, and contribute to F-150's best-in-class payload and towing capacities.

The coil-over-shock front suspension also aids in performance. This independent suspension system features cast-aluminum lower control arms and upper wishbones. It's a proven design that responds quickly to changing roadsurfaces, delivering excellent ride and control.

A total sound engineering approach helped create a quiet cabin for driver and passenger alike. Stiffer frame and body, shear style body mounts, thicker side glass, door seals, special sound insulation and Quiet Steel®* work together to reduce unwanted noise and vibration.

Triton® Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV)
When you visit the pump in an F-150 equipped with the FFV configuration of the 5.4L Triton V8, you now have the option of filling up with E85 (85 percent ethanol/15 percent gasoline), straight gasoline, or any combination of gasoline and E85. The intelligent FFV engine automatically adjusts for hassle-free driving. The benefits of ethanol-based fuel include lower greenhouse gas emissions and production from renewable resources.

F-150 isn't just cutting edge under the hood. Inside the cockpit you'll find an MP3-in jack is included on all F-150 trucks except XL. Just plug in your MP3 player and take off. Enjoy your favorite music, podcasts, and audio books as much as you enjoy the ride in your F-150.

Sporting the best in audio and entertainment options,
F-150 gets the job done once again. The available Audiophile® Sound System includes an AM/FM stereo and an in-dash six-disc CD/MP3 player with eight speakers and subwoofer. Plus, with the speed-compensated volume control, you'll hear your tunes no matter how fast you go, without having to adjust the volume.

The available Rear Seat DVD Entertainment system mounts on the roof and includes an 8” screen, two wireless headphones, and remote control. Your passengers can sit back and enjoy the show in the comfort of your F-150.
